YOU ARE WELCOME HERE!

Aliso Creek Church is a loving community where you can encounter Jesus and find rest in his love and grace. We'd love for you to join us on a Sunday at 10 am to experience meaningful connection, encouragement, and the peace that only Jesus provides.

Below are some answers to questions you might have as a newcomer:

Where are we located?

Our address is 2a Liberty, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656. Click here for directions!

Where do I go once I park?

Enter the main doors and you will be greeted by our smiling volunteers and guided up the stairs (or elevator), into our sanctuary.

What is the service like?

Our Sunday worship is shaped around historic rhythms of grace, often called a liturgy. A liturgy is a pattern we repeat each week, designed to draw us into worship and form us in the image of the one we worship. Every church has a liturgy, but we believe in being explicit about ours because each part of our service plays a unique role in directing our attention and worship to Jesus. You can think of our service as an unfolding drama with four acts:

1. Gathering: Here, we are called into worship and invited into God’s presence by his word. We respond with prayer and singing, celebrating this gracious invitation. This act also includes confessing our sins and hearing God’s promise of forgiveness.

2.  Listening: In act two, we hear from our Father as his word is read and preached, centering us on his truth and guidance.

3. Communing: The service reaches its high point as we celebrate the Lord’s Supper each week, communing with our Savior and his people.

4. Sending: Finally, having found rest in God’s presence, wisdom in his word, and nourishment in the supper, we are sent out to love our neighbors and share Jesus with them.

We embrace these rhythms every week, trusting that God uses them to shape us more and more into the likeness of Jesus.

What is the music like?

At Aliso Creek, we sing a blend of historic hymns and contemporary songs, led by an acoustic worship team. We love and incorporate instruments of all kinds and encourage the congregation to become a communal voice of praise to the Lord.

Where do I take my children?

Children are an incredibly important part of our church community. Kids are more than welcome to stay with you for the whole service, but we have age-specific programs for them as well.

Ages 0-4: If you'd like to, you can sign your young children into our main floor nursery for the entirety of the morning. We also offer quiet rooms upstairs on the righthand side of the sanctuary for families with small children. Just know, we love crying babies! So please know you are more than welcome to participate in worship in whatever way you feel comfortable.

Ages Pre-K to 5th grade: At this age, we really encourage children to participate in worship with their families for the first portion of the service. We want to see families encounter Jesus together! Once it’s time for the sermon, kids are welcome to go downstairs for children's church, where they get to engage with the Bible in fun and creative ways!

How long does the service last?

The service usually lasts about an hour and ten minutes.

What should I wear?

Whatever you want! Our congregation’s style ranges from shorts and t-shirts to bow ties and everything in between. You are welcome to wear whatever style you feel most comfortable in. No matter what you wear, you will fit right in.
